Creative Presence // Creative CV Research

As I have been having a think about what I'd like my creative CV to look like, I thought I'd take a look at some existing creative CV designs to get a general idea of what other people have done, and what people expect of a creative CV.  All the images here, I have found on pinterest.  Not all of them are for graphic design but it is interesting to see how people from other disciplines design their creative CVs too.

The image below is my favourite Creative CV of which I found online.  The 3D lunch box is more memorable than a piece of A4 paper and is much more creative, this person has actually came up with a concept for a way of getting his work/CV out there.  Even though there is not much information given away on the outside we already get a feel for who the designer is and what they design like.  It also makes you actually want to open it up and see what's inside.

This CV works for the person as she is an illustrator and has been made quite personal by all the illustrations.  The layout however doesn't seem quite right.  I will take this issue into account when designing my own CV.

The two CVs below have both been designed as infographic pieces.  The top image works better for me as there is much more white space which gives your eyes a rest and the colours are much less offensive to the eyes than the orange design.  The top design gives off a higher class, more considered design than the one below.

This design is a "hipster design style" which is a massive trend at the moment.

I remember being at a talk from someone in the lecture theatre at college and they told us never to take photographs like this, holding up your work in front of your face with the rest of your body on show... just take a picture on the wall - much more professional!
